Hemant Khurana serves as an Executive Director at Saint-Gobain where he has developed and manages a rapidly growing business with a unique model offering end-to-end solutions to homeowners and developers. In this role Hemant’s primary responsibilities include fast development of the end-to-end solutions business, meeting financial and operating objectives, M&A for growing the business inorganically, leveraging synergies across different businesses of Saint-Gobain, and developing external partnerships for offering complete solutions.
He has built the MyHome platform that has transformed various materials of Saint-Gobain into innovative and sustainable solutions to address the rapidly evolving needs of B2C/consumer segment. He has achieved success within a short span of time by personalizing solutions in a deeply fragmented market through large investments into manufacturing, digitalization, brand, service, and people.
He also serves as a Board Member of Saint-Gobain India that has market leading positions in building materials and solutions in glass, gypsum, construction chemicals, ceilings, and insulation. As a board member, he guides the development of Saint-Gobain in India.
Hemant is also an investor and a key member of the Strategic Advisory Committee at Livspace, a Singapore based digital-first platform and a market leader in India and SEA offering end-to-end solutions for home interiors. In his role as an investor, he oversees the development of a strong partnership between Saint-Gobain and Livspace. As a strategic advisor at Livspace, Hemant is aiming to shape the future strategic direction of the Singapore based company.
Hemant has previously served as the Managing Director of Saint-Gobain’s Malaysia & Singapore business overseeing the turnaround of a complex business under an extremely challenging business environment. In this role, Hemant evolved from previously managing a sales and marketing portfolio in India to handling full P&L responsibility overseeing all the functions including manufacturing, operations, HR, finance, technology, sales, and marketing.
Hemant has gained a solid reputation in creating new businesses and categories in the building materials industry. With over 20 years at Saint-Gobain and before that with Akzo Nobel, Hemant has attained expertise in several trades – paints, glass, windows, gypsum, ceilings, sanitary-ware, bath fittings, kitchen, furniture, hardware and more. Hemant has cut his teeth in business strategy while working on key projects with McKinsey and collaborating with leading players in the industry.
